The Greek Inventors team, close collaborators and an integral part of the Thrace Technology Association’s events involving creations, George and Thodoris presented a project in October 2019 that immediately aroused interest: a fully functional Iron Man helmet.
The heart of the construction is largely 3D printed, highlighting the capabilities of 3D printing in the creation of complex and detailed objects. What makes the helmet stand out is the built-in mechanism that allows it to open and close automatically, imitating the effects we see in the movies. Of course, the illuminated eyes and the characteristic blue LEDs that illuminate the face could not be missing, as well as the metallic painting with the characteristic colors, completing the appearance. The result was, as expected, to be adored by children (and adults) in every appearance!
The opportunity to see such an iconic object brought to life with technology is awe-inspiring and exciting. This project is a fantastic example of how a passion for technology, creativity and a love of pop culture can come together to produce impressive creations. It demonstrates the high level of skill of the Greek Inventors team and the value of collaboration and exchange of ideas in the maker community.
